Overview
This European Standard specifies a method of determining the tensile properties of thermoplastics pipes, in particular for the properties stress at yield and elongation at break. The standard is directed at manufacturers and users of thermoplastics pipes as well as the corresponding test institutes. The standard contains in particular safety aspects. DIN EN ISO 6259-1 is the German version of the European Standard EN ISO 6259-1 which has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 155 "Plastics piping systems and ducting systems". The committee responsible for DIN EN ISO 6259-1 is NA 054-05-02 AA "Prüfverfahren für Rohre" ("Test methods for plastic pipes") at DIN.
