This Technical Specification provides a standardized method for the determination of the density of cathode nanomaterials in powder form used for electrical energy storage devices. This method provides users with a key control characteristic for deciding whether a cathode nanomaterial is usable or suitable for improving the properties of cathode nanomaterials to ensure the safety of the electrical energy storage device. The committee responsible is DKE/K 141 "Nanotechnologie" ("Nanotechnology") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
