Warning notices and sales blocks

Warning notices are used when an error that needs correction is detected in a document. Regardless of whether the document is blocked or not from sale because of the error, the warning notice informs the user of the error until appropriate corrective action (corrigendum, reissue) is fully implemented.

The warning notice is an informative element (publication), which informs the user immediately after an error in a document that needs correction becomes known. In the DIN Media Webshop, this information can also be looked up directly on the document via a separate link. In addition, the warning notice will be placed on the PDF document, as the first page, for new purchases via the webshop or via other types of product.

Occasionally it is necessary to temporarily block documents from sale. As a rule, this is because there is an error in the document and the document needs to be corrected. In order to be able to dispense with sales blocks as far as possible, DIN uses warning notices for documents that require correction. However, sometimes a sales block is necessary.
