Overview

This document applies to staff protection systems (PNA) and specifies the minimum requirements for the design, function, and testing of the devices. Staff protection systems are intended to summon immediate assistance in the event of dangerous lone working situations by means of personal alarms. This document does not apply to alarm systems, hazard warning systems, and call systems in accordance with specific DIN standards. The standard differs from DIN VDE V 0825-1 (VDE V 0825-1):2019-09 as follows: a) power supply of a PNG-S (4.3.7); b) degree of protection (4.3.16.1); c) strength (4.3.16.3); d) update of bibliography. This document is used for the installation and use of staff protection systems in environments involving hazardous lone working, such as in industrial plants or security services.
