Short description

The stadnard deals with high-temperature gas filtration at process temperature above 260 °C at which conventional filter media are not applicable. It provides information for planning, construction and operation of high-temperature gas filters for process temperatures up to 1000 °C. The results shown in figures and tables are examples and are valid due to the numerous, interacting plant and emission specific factors to each case only for the corresponding actual application. Characteristics of the currently used filter media are represented in the form of a matrix, which provide a basis for assessing the applicability of filter media for high-temperature gas filtration. The characteristics of the matrix were verified by measurements on a highly heat-resistant filter test apparatus.
