Short description
The standard provides a method to calculate the immission of bioaerosols in ambient air from one or more emission sources of plants. The determination is made using a numerical dispersion calculation with a Lagrangian particle model in accordance with VDI 3945 Part 3. Gaseous metabolic products formed by bacteria or moulds, such as MVOCs (microbial volatile organic compounds), are not covered by this standard. The standard represents a standardised, practice-oriented tool for determining the immission of bioaerosols for subsequent evaluations and analyses. It can be used in the context of measurement planning and for other technical questions relating to the dispersion of bioaerosols. The standard is based in large part on the specifications of Annex 2 of TA Luft 2021 (dispersion calculation) and on the recommendations for the implementation and quality assurance of dispersion calculations (see standards VDI 3783 Part 13 and VDI 3783 Part 13.1). The AUSTAL program system is the reference model of TA Luft 2021 (see VDI 3945 Part 3).
