The European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) contains the fundamental specifications for all kinds of pressure vessels operated in Europe. To clarify the content of the directive and provide a valid guide to its implementation, a coalition of German associations complied the AD 2000 Code. The code is very popular due to its clear and unambiguous specifications.

The individual Merkblätter are available from DIN Media as a complete handbook: The complete loose-leaf collection is now here and up-to-date as a handbook, in justified format and convenient A5 size: the book is a valuable aid for interpreting and assessing the requirements of the PED. The AD 2000 Code, published by TÜV-Verband e.V. and DIN Media contains:

• a brief overview and convenient format,
• knowledge on PED on over 1000 pages,
• all Merkblätter collated into one handbook.

This handbook edition from the DIN Media “in practice” series contains the Merkblätter of the AD 2000 Code as from December 2023.
 

Over 100 documents in one handbook

With the AD 2000 Code, the user receives an extremely comprehensive collection of knowledge consisting of 100 documents printed on about 1000 pages. The book includes diverse aspects of the Pressure Equipment Directive are diverse and covers the entire spectrum of applications and issues arising from putting the safety requirements in Annex 1 of the Directive into practice.

As well as the Merkblätter, the collection also includes the complete printed edition of the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU.
