1.1 This standard consists of technical terms used in some of the standards under the jurisdiction of the ASTM Subcommittee D01.46 (Industrial Protective Coatings). Note 1: This standard was previously under the jurisdiction of C03 (Chemical Resistant Nonmetallic Materials), which has been disbanded, and some of the C-designated standards were transferred to be under the jurisdiction of D01.46. Definitions related to these transferred standards are maintained in this standard. 1.2 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.
