Short description

1.1 This test method covers the determination of the temperature below which solid hydrocarbon crystals may form in aviation turbine fuels. 1.2 This test method is designed to cover the freezing point temperature range of -80 ºC to 20 ºC; however, the precision statements were derived from a Practice D6300 -compliant interlaboratory study (ILS) with a lowest achieved sample average of −69.86 °C and a highest achieved sample average of −37.81 °C. 1.2.1 For the range of test results considered valid for the applicability of precisions (r and R) and for the purpose of test result reporting per Practice D6300 , see 12.1.3 . 1.3 Units- The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard. 1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
