This document specifies the design of protective suits which are worn during the handling and distribution (atomizing, spraying) of diluted pesticides, and specifies requirements for these suits. Minimum requirements for the material of the protective suits against pesticides in regards to resistance and impermeability are specified. Because of the particular exposure situation during the distribution of pesticides, the transmittance (penetration) is determined by a special test method (atomizer test, according to DIN EN 14786:2006). Working with undiluted, concentrated pesticides requires additional protective equipment such as aprons, protective gloves (plant protection) and face protection. The standard addresses manufacturers and users of protective suits against pesticides. It serves as a basis for protective suit testing. This document, which was created by the Personal Protective Equipment Standards Committee (NPS), has been prepared by Working Committee NA 075-05-03 "Schutzkleidung gegen Chemikalien" ("Protective clothing against chemicals").
This document replaces DIN 32781:2005-05 .
