This part of IEC 62490 specifies a measuring method for determining of equivalent series inductance L (ESL) for capacitors with lead terminal for use in electronic equipment. The inductance values of the capacitors for which this document is intended are within a range from 1 nH to 10 nH. The responsible Committee is K 611 "Kondensatoren" ("Capacitors") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
