DIN EN ISO 7291:2011-03

The standard specifies requirements and test methods for pressure regulators in manifold systems used for compressed gases up to 300 bar, dissolved acetylene, liquefied petroleum gases (LPG), methylacetylene-propadiene-mixtures (MPS) and carbon dioxide (CO₂). It is not applicable to pressure regulators fitted directly to the gas cylinders, as defined in ISO 2503. In contrast to the previous standard DIN EN ISO 7291:2001-11, the title and content of the International Standard have been adopted, Table 1 and Table 5 have been revised and supplemented and the acetylene decomposition test has been added to the normative part of the standard. The International Standard ISO 7291:2010 has been prepared by ISO/TC 44/SC 8 "Equipment for gas welding, cutting and allied processes" and has been adopted identically as a European Standard. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 092-00-07 AA "Ausrüstung zum Gasschweißen, Schneiden und verwandte Prozesse" ("Equipment for gas welding, cutting and allied processes") of NAS.
