Overview
Wear, failures and other damage influence the operational safety of railway vehicles. Depending on the wear characteristics, application parameters and the current state of the railway vehicles and the cost effectiveness, a maintenance system shall be specified by which it is ensured that the necessary target state is maintained and the specified maintenance and test methods are applied. This document applies for the vehicle function intermittent automatic train-running control (PZB), which is used in the following types with the manufacturer designations - I 60-M-SEL; - I 60-Siemens/ER 24, system PZB 90; - I 60-SEL/ER 24, system PZB 90; - I 60-R, PZB 90 system; - I 80, PZB 90 system; - I 80E, PZB 90 system; - PZ 80-R, PZB 90 system; - EBI Cab 500; - EBI Cab 2000; - EBI Cab 2000 DES; - TGB-I, Trainguard Basic Indusi. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 351.3 "Bahn-Signalanlagen" ("Signalling systems for railways") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
