Overview
This standard is a product standard for heat shrinkable components. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 140-00-02 AA "Wärmeschrumpfende Bauelemente und Isoliermaterialien" ("Heat shrinkable components and insulation material") of the Electrical Engineering Standards Committee (NE) at DIN. This standard applies in connection with VG 95343-2 for transition parts with inner coating, halogen free, low fire hazard, which are used for electrical and mechanical protection of wires and cable branching places. The heat shrinkable components with inner coating are subject to qualification testing in accordance with VG 95211. Heat shrinking backshells according to this standard can be used at ambient temperatures from -40 °C to +105 °C.
