The presented standard is a product standard for electrical cable assemblies. The committee responsible for the standard is NA 140-00-04 AA "Konfektionierte elektrische Kabel und Leitungen" ("Assemblies of electrical cables and insulated wires") of the Electrical Engineering Standards Committee (NE) at DIN. This standard is valid in connection with generic standard VG 96927-2 for cable assemblies of the weapon system "Fennek". Cable assemblies to this standard are subject to qualification testing according to VG 95211.
