This standard is a detail standard for cable rails. The committee responsible for the standard is NA 140-00-24 AA "Elektrische Verteilergeräte" ("Electric power distribution equipment") of the DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE). This standard applies in connection with VG 96950-2 for cable reels which are used for carrying and transport of detachable cord extension sets. Components according to this standard are subject to type testing according to VG 96950-2. Components according to this standard can be used at operating temperatures from -33 °C to 49 °C.
