Overview
This DIN SPEC has been prepared by a workshop (temporary committee) in the course of the PAS procedure. The preparation and adoption of this DIN SPEC has been carried out by the authors named in the foreword. This DIN SPEC specifies the composition, mechanical properties and other important properties for ingots and castings made of CuSn4Zn2PS. Other copper alloys are not covered by this DIN SPEC and are described in EN 1982. The information and requirements according to EN 1982 apply to the applications of this document. This DIN SPEC is applicable for: a) ingots made of CuSn4Zn2PS-B that are intended for remelting for subsequent processing (for example, into castings); and b) castings made of CuSn4Zn2PS-C that are intended for use without subsequent processing, except for mechanical processing.
