The ALERT Plus function is a compatible extension of the ALERT C function and makes it possible to use RDS-TMC broadcast status-orientated information. This information is related to: - road traffic, travel time, etcetera; - current car park occupancy; - public transport, such as travel time, etcetera. Users of this engineering standard are primarily manufacturers of infotainment and navigation manufacturers as well as broadcasting companies and travel service providers. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 052-02-71 GA "Gemeinschaftsarbeitsausschuss NAAutomobil/DKE: Telematik" ("Joint Working Committee Road Vehicle Engineering Standards Committee/German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies: Telematics") at DIN.
