The standard specifies the sampling strategy for the collection of samples of fibrous dusts settled on surfaces which are taken according to VDI 3877 Part 1. Furthermore it establishes the principles for the assessment of the measurement results with respect to the actions to be taken. The assessment method is to be considered a conventional method.
