Short description
The standard specifies maximum immission values (MI values) for lithium. They serve to protect farm animals and the food derived from them. According to the current state of knowledge, the specified MI values do not lead to any impairment of the health and performance of the animals or to any questionable contamination of the food produced, so that there is no risk of damage to human health following the consumption of this food. The standard is addressed in particular at all persons who produce feed for the livestock species listed, who keep and feed these livestock species or who handle the food they produce. It also addresses companies that emit lithium into the environment in connection with their business activities.
