Short description
This standard gives an overview on essential regulations for carrying out individual measurements to determine emissions from stationary sources using manual or automated measurement methods in the legally regulated area. These regulations are intended to ensure that emissions from installations are determined in such a way that the results are representative and comparable with each other, can be analysed in a uniform manner and enable emission limits to be monitored. These regulations apply to initial and recurring measurements as well as the performance of parallel measurements as part of functional tests and calibrations of stationary automated emission measuring systems. This standard is aimed at plant planners, plant operators, supervisory authorities, testing laboratories and all persons and institutions who require an overview of the essential requirements for carrying out individual measurements using manual or automated measurement methods as part of their work. It is also used for the preparation of sections relating to measurement technology in the plant-specific VDI Standards on emission reduction in the VDI/DIN Manual on Air Quality Control, Volumes 2 and 3.This standard does not lay down any new or more extensive requirements for the performance of emission measurements using manual or automated measurement methods, but summarises the requirements already laid down in other technical rules.
