DIN EN IEC 60598-2-2:2025-01

This document specifies requirements for recessed luminaires incorporating electric light sources for operation from supply voltages up to 1 000 V. It also specifies requirements for recessed air-handling luminaires for use with a ventilation duct or ventilated space (plenum). This part of IEC 60598 specifies requirements for recessed luminaires incorporating electric light sources for operation from supply voltages up to 1 000 V. It also specifies requirements for recessed air-handling luminaires for use with a ventilation duct or ventilated space (plenum). Requirements for recessed air-handling luminaires from IEC 60598-2-19 have been incorporated into this document. No restrictions are specified in this scope. The standard differs from DIN EN 60598-2-2 (VDE 0711-2-2):2012-10 as follows: a) the requirements from IEC 60598-1 that are specific to recessed luminaires have now been incorporated into this part; b) the requirements for recessed air-handling luminaires from IEC 60598-2-19 have now been incorporated into this part; c) the references to Part 1 have been updated. Typical examples of applications of this document are recessed luminaires and recessed air-handling luminaires for use with a ventilation duct or a ventilated space.
