This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 005-01-38 GA "Gemeinschaftsarbeitsausschuss NABau/NHRS, Radongeschütztes Bauen" (Joint working committee NABau/NHRS, Radon-resistant construction) at DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau). This document contains a detailed description and assessment of the measures for radon-resistant construction. The principles and measures for radon- resistant construction are described in DIN/TS 18117-1. The measures specified in this document include construction and ventilation measures, distinguish between new buildings and buildings to be renovated, and take into account the use of interior spaces. This document is only to be used for buildings with rooms for people to spend time in or workplaces. This document does not apply to subsequent measures in existing buildings, unless procedures regulated in this document can be used.
