DIN SPEC 91489:2024-04 - Draft

This DIN SPEC has been prepared by a workshop (temporary committee) in the course of the PAS procedure. The preparation and adoption of this DIN SPEC has been carried out by the authors named in the foreword. DIN SPEC drafts are published free of charge for two months for comment. This document specifies requirements for fire limitation blankets used for electric vehicles. Fire limitation blankets are not active extinguishing agents. Fire limitation blankets are primarily intended for use by instructed personnel. However, this document does not lay down specifications as to whether and by whom the fire limitation blankets are to be used. Fire limitation blankets according to this document are intended for use on electric vehicles and are not intended for direct use on a removed and opened traction battery.
