Short description

This standard addresses the measurement strategy for determining carbon dioxide levels in indoor air. In addition to the previously standardized measurement method, the revision also covers the use of low-cost sensor systems and the now widely used CO2 lights. CO2 concentration is frequently used as an indicator of indoor air quality. Affordable, direct-reading measurement systems (e. g., CO2 lights) are installed indoors to provide occupants with information about indoor air quality. The standard also addresses aspects of climate adaptation, particularly the need for ventilation during the cool morning and evening hours on days with high heat stress.
