Short description
The building physics design of buildings represents an important method for assessing a building's environmental and economic quality, as well as its impact on the climate and the environment. For this complex field of building physics to be successfully applied as a tool to support the planning process, a wide range of information must be exchanged between the various parties involved in the process. The interfaces must be defined comprehensively and unambiguously; this includes roles and responsibilities, task sets and the project-specific parameterisation of the relevant information requirements throughout the entire building life cycle. The standard provides a comprehensive description of the information exchange requirements for implementing the subject area of building physics as a BIM use case.
