This Technical Specification has been prepared by CEN/TC 155/WG 16 "Plastic piping systems and ducting systems - Systems for hot and cold water applications" (secretariat: SIS, Sweden) with the active German collaboration of Working Committee NA 119-04-06-05 UA "Kunststoffrohre in der Trinkwasserversorgung - Warm- und Kaltwasserleitungen" ("Plastic pipes in the drinking water supply - Hot water and cold water pipes"). It specifies methods for the assessment of conformity for piping systems made from PE-RT for use in piping systems used for hot and cold water installations within buildings, whether or not the water is intended for human consumption (domestic systems) and for heating systems.
