Overview
The Technical Specification has been prepared by CEN/TC 155/WG 12 "Pressure systems of polyolefin material for gas supply, water supply and drainage and sewerage" (secretariat: BSI, United Kingdom) with the active German collaboration of Working Committee NA 119-04-06-08 GUA "Kunststoffrohre in der Trinkwasserversorgung - Erdverlegte Druckrohrleitungen aus thermoplastischen Kunststoffen" ("Plastics piping systems for water supply - Underground pressurized piping systems made from thermoplastic materials"). It supersedes DIN CEN/TS 12201-7:2003-11 and DIN CEN/TS 13244-7:2003-11. It specifies recommendations for the assessment of conformity of compounds, products (pipe parts), joints and assemblies in accordance with DIN EN 12201-1, DIN EN 12201-2, DIN EN 12201-3, DIN EN 12201-4 and/or DIN EN 12201-5. They comprise type testing (TT), batch release tests (BRT), process verification tests (PVT), audit tests (AT), indirect tests (IT) and witness testing (WT).
