DIN CEN/TS 1401-2:2012-09

The EN 1401 standard series has been prepared by CEN/TC 155 "Plastics piping systems and ducting systems". The responsible German Committee is Joint Working Committee NA 119-05-28 GA (GA NAW/FNK) "Kunststoffrohre in der Abwassertechnik" ("Plastics pipes in wastewater engineering") of the Water Practice Standards Committee (NAW). It is applicable to piping systems made of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) for non-pressure underground drainage and sewerage both buried in ground outside and inside the building structure. Requirements for materials, components and assemblies are specified in DIN EN 1401-1 the new edition of which was published in July 2009. DIN CEN/TS 1402-2 contains for products in accordance with DIN EN 1401-1 guidance for assessment of conformity intended to be included in the manufacturer's quality plan as part of the quality management system. The preliminary standard contains requirements for the quality management system of the manufacturer as well as definitions and procedures for the case of third-party certification.
