Overview
The implementation requirements described in this standard represent the first process step in ensuring interoperability of contactless communication between ticket terminals and any ticket medium accepted by the terminal. This standard will in future form the basis for the first applications of a certificate process for contactless communication protocols in Europe. The requirements described are based on essential requirements specified in ISO/IEC 14443 that ensure interoperability with media such as smart cards, e-tickets, mobile phones, USB keys or tablets. These implementation requirements take already existing implementations into account.
