Overview

This Technical Specification defines characteristics and interfaces of electric on-board power supply systems. It applies for locomotive-hauled passenger trains and electric multiple units with distributed as well as concentrated driving power for long distance transport applications. The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 351.1 "Fahrzeuge" ("Rolling stock") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
