Overview

This document applies to low-voltage stud-terminals, which are primarily used for the electrical connection of rotating electrical machines. For a list of stud-terminals see DIN/TS 46260-2, as well as the entire DIN/TS 46260-x and DIN/TS 46262-x series of standards. Form B, preferably for explosion-proof electrical equipment, in accordance with the standards of the DIN EN 60079 series. Requirements for insulators for stud-terminals include dimensions/designations, materials, design, marking, and so on. The standard differs from DIN 46262-1:1988-09 as follows: a) the designations in the revision have been changed to the materials currently in use and the standard references have been updated. Typical examples of applications for the DIN/TS 46260-x and DIN/TS 46262-x series of standards include use as feed-through solder terminals, as feed-throughs through the terminal board, for example from the machine into the connection box, as insulated screw connections (supports) for multiple cables, switch bridges or lines, and so on.
