This prestandard includes the scope of DIN EN 50556; this prestandard also applies to road traffic signal systems on railway crossings as well as for portable signal systems in accordance with "TL - Transportable Lichtsignalanlagen 97". The scope of the prestandard does not contain constructional requirements for transducer poles. The responsible committee is Subcommittee UK 713.3 "Straßenverkehrs-Signalanlagen" ("Road traffic signal systems") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
