1.1 This specification covers the requirements for commercial wrought nonferrous nuts 0.250 to 1.500 in. inclusive in diameter in a number of alloys in common use and intended for general service applications. 1.2 Applicable bolts, cap screws, and studs for use with nuts covered by this specification are covered by Specification F468 . 1.3 Terms used in this specification are defined in Terminology F1789 unless otherwise defined herein. 1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard. Note 1: This specification is the inch-pound companion to Specification F467M ; therefore, no SI equivalents are presented in the specification. 1.5 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.
