Overview

This document applies to commercial dishwashing machines in accordance with DIN EN 17735. This document supplements DIN EN 17735 and specifies the following procedures: exceptional testing of dishwashers, testing the cleaning of cutlery on special dish racks, and type testing for the cleaning of drinking vessels. This document is also applicable to the cleaning of reusable packaging for delivery to and use by end consumers. This document does not apply to reusable crates and reusable containers for unpackaged foodstuffs within the scope of DIN 10522. The standard has been prepared by Working Group NA 057-02-01-08 AK "Hygieneanforderungen an die maschinelle Reinigung von Lebensmittelbedarfsgegenständen" ("Hygiene requirements on the mechanical cleaning of utensils and materials with contact to foodstuffs") of Working Committee NA 057-02-01 AA "Lebensmittelhygiene" ("Food hygiene") at DIN Standards Committee Food and Agricultural Products (NAL).
