Overview

This document specifies the dimensions of basic refractory bricks for use in oxygen steel converters and in electric arc furnaces for twelve lining thicknesses from 250 mm to 800 mm in increments of 50 mm. For each lining thickness there is a rectangular brick (that is, a brick without a wedge shape) and 4 wedge bricks for the five smallest thicknesses and 5 wedge bricks for the seven largest thicknesses. The document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-02-57 AA "Ungeformte, dichte geformte und wärmedämmende feuerfeste Erzeugnisse und Werkstoffe" ("Unshaped, dense shaped and insulating refractory products and materials") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
