Overview

This document specifies the dimensions, design, and materials of clamp connections with O-rings for hygienic applications in the food industry for butt welding on tubes with dimensions according to DIN 11866 and DIN EN 10357, Series A and C. The clamp connections are only designed for the following permissible pressures when using suitable clamps: - external tube diameter from 12,7 mm to 41,0 mm: 4,0 MPa (40 bar); - external tube diameter from 42,4 mm to 70,0 mm: 2,5 MPa (25 bar); - external tube diameter from 76,1 mm to 104,0 mm: 1,6 MPa (16 bar). These pressures can be applied at temperatures from -10 °C to +140 °C when using suitable seal materials. Committee NA 003-01-14 AA "Rohre und Komponenten für die Lebensmittelindustrie, die chemische und die pharmazeutische Industrie" ("Tubes and components for food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries") at DIN is responsible for this standard.
