Overview

This standard applies to corrugated (flexible) and smooth (rod) drainpipes made of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U), which are mainly used for regulating the soil water balance in accordance with DIN 1185-1, -2, and -3. The pipes are manufactured by extrusion. They are circular inside and outside and have openings for water to enter. Working Committee NA 119-05-22 AA "Sickerrohre aus Kunststoff (CEN/TC 155/WG 26)" ("Plastic drainage pipes (CEN/TC 155/WG 26)") at DIN Standards Committee Water Practice (NAW) is responsible for this standard.
