DIN 12924-3:2011-01

This standard specifies particular requirements for laboratory fume cupboards intended to be installed in scientific class rooms, for instance of public schools, which have two opposite-sided sashes. The standard specifies safety and performance requirements and tests, which result from the particular field of application of these school fume cupboards. All basic requirements and tests are already specified in DIN EN 14175-2 and DIN EN 14175-3, which are referred to as normative references. The following changes have been made with respect to DIN 12924-2:1994-01, the first edition of the standard: a) requirements have been adapted to DIN EN 14175-2; b) tests have been adapted to DIN EN 14175-3; c) requirements for the construction and for light shields have been changed; d) requirements for the cupboard function indicator and the media sampling points have been specified more precisely; e) the marking has been changed.
