This document applies to large-area surgical sheets that are used in particular in first aid. It has been prepared by Working Committee NA 063-01-06 AA "Verbandmittel und Behältnisse" ("Surgical dressings and containers") of DIN Standards Committee Medicine (NAMed). The standard differs from DIN 13152:1994-11 as follows: a) clause Normative references (formerly "Cited standards") updated; b) general requirements for minimum absorption capacity deleted; c) designations for the respective sizes specified; d) information on materials transferred to the requirements clause; e) requirements for packaging and sterility revised; f) standard adapted to the current design rules.
