Since the last publication of the standard, a large number of innovations in the field of materials for the manufacture of complementary products for sanitary fittings have been incorporated. This circumstance led to the renewed revision of the standard. This standard specifies requirements for dimensions, materials, function and interchangeability of WC connecting pieces and their testing. This standard applies to DN 80 and DN 100 WC connecting pieces for connecting WC bowls with connecting dimensions according to DIN EN 33 to the connecting pipe of the drainage system of the building according to DIN 1986-100 and the DIN EN 12056 series as well as according to official notification. The main change involves the inclusion of another material for gaskets already used in practice. This standard has been prepared by NA 119-05-11 AA "Ablaufgarnituren, Abläufe, Rückstauverschlüsse und Belüftungsventile für die Verwendung innerhalb von Gebäuden (CEN/TC 165/WG 11)" ("Waste fittings, drains, anti-flooding devices and air vents for use inside buildings (CEN/TC 165/WG 11)").
