This standard specifies test methods for the shear bond strength of adhesives for orthodontic luting elements on human and bovine teeth. The bond test is carried out between the luting element and the adhesive and between the adhesive and tooth enamel. No-mix adhesives and luting elements with chemically pre-treated bonding surfaces are excluded.
