DIN 14033:2017-04

The standard DIN 14033 provides a uniform designation of abbreviations for general use for fire brigade. With this consolidated new edition of DIN 14033, in which all changes to the first standard amendment DIN 14033/A1 have been incorporated, vehicle and equipment abbreviations in particular have been updated or newly included. It contains abbreviations from the following areas: - Organization of the fire brigade - Fire fighting vehicles - Equipment - Operational tactics - Preventive fire protection. Common abbreviations for associations, institutions, service, official, and function designations are compiled in an annex. They are listed as informative Annex A, as other committees are responsible for their definition. The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 031-04-01 AA "Begriffe und Bildzeichen" ("Terms and pictograms") of DIN Standards Committee Firefighting and Fire Protection (FNFW).
