Delivery coupling type B in accordance with this standard serves for the connection of layflat delivery hoses type B in accordance with DIN 14811. The revision of the previous standard edition from June 2008 became necessary in order to provide the triple-ribbed connection piece on both sides of the webs with large radii. The standard is not applicable for particular requirements (for instance, use with oil, aggressive atmospheres or aggressive liquids) for delivery fire hose couplings type B in accordance with DIN 86203 (made of copper zinc alloy in accordance with DIN EN 12420) or delivery fire hose couplings type B made of stainless steel castings in accordance with DIN EN 10283.
