Overview
This standard specifies requirements for fire brigade emergency microphones and establishes principles for their conformance testing and marking. Fire brigade emergency microphones are used for connection to voice alarm control centers of voice alarm systems according to DIN 14675. They enable certain operating states of the voice alarm system to be displayed in a uniform appearance and enable the fire department's emergency personnel to perform ergonomic and uniform operation of relevant functions and to record live fire announcements in the event of an alarm and during functional tests, even without the involvement of the voice alarm system operator. This DIN SPEC according to the pre-standardization procedure has been prepared by Working Committee NA 031-02-07 AA "Feuerwehr-Peripheriegeräte" ("Fire Peripherals") at DIN Standards Committee Firefighting and Fire Protection (FNFW).
