The standard deals in particular with aspects of quality and product safety and serves as an extension to DIN 14685-1 for portable generators ≥ 5 kVA. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 031-02-02 AA "Elektrische Betriebsmittel" ("Electrical equipment") at DIN.
