DIN 14820-1:2015-09

The standard applies to bridges for fire hoses of wood for load-free crossing pressure hoses in accordance with DIN 14711 on traffic routes and specifies their dimensions, designation and requirements. This document is a consolidated new version of the standard into which all modifications have been incorporated without any modification which were intended with the first draft amendment A1. The following rationale is given for the amendment of standard DIN 14820-1: - the belt dimension previously limited to a width of 85 mm is not mandatory and is changed from 75 mm to 85 mm; - the very detailed requirements for screws are also not mandatory so that the use of countersunk head screws at the discretion of the manufacturer with specified shaft diameter as well as the total length is sufficient; - editorial revision with respect to the update of the normative references.
