Coupling spanner type BC facilitates the coupling of B and C pressure and suction hoses and their connection to pumps and fittings. It is also suitable for opening and closing foam liquid containers in accordance with DIN 14452. For special requirements (for example, oil use), a BC coupling spanner made of non-sparking material (NF) is required. The standard specifies their dimensions, requirements, designation and marking. The coupling spanner designs quenched and tempered steel (St) and non-sparking material (NF) are also specified. Compared with the previous edition of DIN 14822-1, published in April 1979, the main changes are that the colour specifications have been omitted, the material standards cited have been updated and the marking has been revised. Furthermore, an optional hole has been included at the end of the handle for hanging.
