Canvas bags for multi purpose lines in accordance with this standard serve for the storage of a multi purpose line in accordance with DIN 14920:2010-10, Annex B. The standard deals with the dimensions, designation and design of the multi purpose line. The following rationale is given for the modification of the previous July 2001 edition of DIN 14921: - due to the thermal load for indoor fire fighting, the canvas bag for multi purpose lines in accordance with DIN 14922 is more suitable for storage of the line for fire-brigades than the canvas bag in accordance with this standard DIN 14921; - DIN 14921 will not be withdrawn, however, but its scope is limited to the storage of canvas bags for multi purpose line in accordance with DIN 14920. This is already made clear with the amendment of the standard title from "Canvas bags for lines for fire-brigades" into "Canvas bags for multi purpose lines".
