Idlers shall meet a wide range of requirements, depending on the application. The sealing of the bearings, the size range, the loads, and the conventionally used dimensions vary significantly. The DIN 15207 series of standards thus consist of Part 1 - Main dimensions of idlers for belt conveyors for bulk material, and Part 2 - Main dimensions of idlers for belt conveyors for unit loads. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 060-22-31 AA "Stetigförderer für Stückgut" ("Continuous handling equipment for unit loads") as well as NA 060-22-32 AA "Stetigförderer für Schüttgut" ("Continuous handling equipment for bulk materials") of Technical Section "Material handling" at DIN Standards Committee Mechanical Engineering (NAM). Representatives of manufacturers and users of continuous handling equipment as well as representatives of professional and trade associations are involved in the preparation of the standard.
